Google User Data Disclosure
This "Google User Data Disclosure" describes how Rylo applications and services access and use Google user data, and applies to every Rylo product that connects to a Google account. This Disclosure is provided in addition to, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy, which continues to apply to all personal information we process. If this Disclosure and any other Rylo terms conflict with respect to Google user data, this Disclosure controls.

Limited Use
Rylo's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs adheres to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models, and it is never sold or transferred to any service that would use it for those purposes. Notwithstanding any other provision of our Terms of Service, Google user data is excluded from any data we may use to train or improve our models.
What we access
Rylo products may request the following, and only with your consent:
- Basic profile information (name, email address), used to identify your Rylo account when you sign in with Google.
- Read-only access to your Google Calendar (calendar.readonly), used by Rylo Sidekick as described below.
We do not request or access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Photos, or any other Google service.
Google Calendar in Rylo Sidekick
Rylo Sidekick, our desktop captioning app, can connect to your Google Calendar to show your upcoming meetings and start captioning when a meeting begins. Calendar data is used only to provide features you see in the app: displaying your upcoming meetings, notifying you shortly before a meeting starts, starting captioning automatically when you have enabled that, and labeling a captioned conversation with its meeting name and participants. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Your upcoming-events list is held in memory on your device and is not synced to Rylo's servers. When you caption a meeting, details of that meeting (such as its title and attendee names) are saved with the conversation in your on-device call history, and are removed when you delete that conversation or your account. Your Google authorization tokens are stored securely by Rylo's authentication service solely to maintain your calendar connection.
AI features
Some Rylo features run AI models entirely on your device (for example, offline transcription and call summaries in Rylo Sidekick). Data processed by these on-device models never leaves your device and is never shared with the model providers for training or any secondary purpose. Where a feature uses cloud AI processing, requests that could include Google user data are sent only to inference endpoints contractually configured for zero data retention and no training on inputs.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect your Google account at any time from the app's settings, which deletes the stored authorization tokens. You can also revoke Rylo's access from your Google Account permissions page.
